These two paintings were done in the past couple of months from photographs. Powers Court is a lovely estate south of Dublin and this is a castle tower on the grounds. My daughter took the painting and encouraged me to paint it. The painting is hers.
The B&B is on the Chesepeake and Delaware Canal in Maryland. It appears to be quite quaint and I couldn't resist painting it. We were attending a wedding that weekend and were playing tourist earlier in the day. It was a beautiful day. We had a great lunch on the water and the wedding was lovely. The bride is a beautiful young lady whose mother (my first cousin) unfortunately had died a couple of years earlier from a horrible disease--ALS. We were happy to attend such a joyful occasion.
