I
have compiled many of my rantings from Facebook during the past year’s election
campaigning (2018). I think most of them
are clear but to be sure I have reviewed them.
Most of them deal with the orange-haired man. A few deal with comments
from other prominent Republicans. All reflect the comments and think of the
Republican leadership.
America has been a
country of immigrants since the Spanish established Saint Augustine in 1565.
Since then almost every American can trace their family to someone who braved
an ocean voyage to come to the new land. Some came as captives, some came in
the bowels of ships they called steerage; others worked their way here by
leasing themselves to another who paid their passage. Unless you have Native
American ancestry, someone in your family came here from somewhere else..
Most groups were not welcome when they came. The Irish were not allowed to take certain jobs. Neither were the Jewish, Italian, Polish, German, on any other group that arrived in large numbers. Chinese workers built the railroads in the 19thC. In the later parts of the 20th C people from Latin America, and Asia (Middle and Far East) started to come in large numbers. They are the next wave to come seeking a better life for themselves and their families, just as my grandparents did between 1891 and 1913, They are becoming as much a part of America as previous immigrants, adding diversity to our union which enriches us all.

The Times of Trenton published a list of things the Senate
Majority Leader hopes to accomplish, if the GOP maintains control of Congress.
They will repeal the final parts of the Affordable Care Act, despite their
promise to protect pre-existing conditions. They have not mentioned that those
conditions will cost much more under their system than under the ACA. Second,
the Senator promised to cut Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security to help
balance the deficit produced by the Tax Cut bill that was passed earlier this
year.
If you are pleased with this agenda for the rest of 2018, be sure to vote for the GOP candidates for Congress. Since they have already voted to repeal the ACA over 60 times already, it will be easy for them to vote to repeal it again.

If you heard and believe that the orange-haired man promised
a "middle class tax cut" by the mid-term election, you did not take a
Civics course in school. If you did, you would know that any finance bill
(taxes or expenses) must originate in the House of Representatives. The House
is not in session until after the Mid-terms and with the GOP in control have no
interest in passing another tax cut. They suddenly are concerned about the
mushrooming debt that they caused and will look for programs to cut. The
Orange-haired man cannot sign an Executive Order to do a tax cut.
This is why everyone should be required to take civics in school, so they will know how the government works.

Now the orange-haired man, who campaigned as very supportive
of the LBGTQ population, is trying to attack the trans community. Another
attempt to get the Evangelical CHRISTIANS to support him against these evil
people. He has attacked Middle-Easterners, Hispanics, immigrants who are not
from Norway, and other minorities to gain the support of the far right so why
not this group too? Any one who is not a white Christian is suspect.

Another rant: Can the GOP win an election w/o lying,
gerrymandering districts, or suppressing voters? The GOP Senate candidate in NJ
is still spreading lies about his opponent that the FBI disproved. The Missouri
candidate for Senator says he will protect pre-existing conditions but he is
one of several Attorneys General suing the Federal Government to eliminate
coverage for pre-existing conditions. The Georgia candidate for Governor is in
charge of elections and is doing a great job of suppressing minority voters.
GOP run State Legislatures have gerrymandered districts to control--and the
list goes on.
Then orange-haired man tells us that there are Muslim
terrorists in the march from Central America. His campaign of lies and scare
tactics is unbelievable!

Again from a partisan individual. Remember that all GOP
members of Congress voted 60 times to repeal the Affordable Care Act and will
do it again, this time successfully. If you have a pre-existing condition, look
out. That protection will disappear along with much of Social Security, Medicare,
and Medicaid. McConnell has already promised to cut these
"entitlement" programs to help decrease the deficit caused by their
tax cut that will trickle down to the 99%. Want to buy a bridge?

I freely admit I am partisan. However the GOP candidates this
year have reached an amazing new low. The Georgia GOP candidate for Governor is
also Sec. of State in charge of elections and is doing a good job of limiting
minority access to the ballot box. The indicted candidate in California has
accused his Arabic Christian opponent of being a terrorist because of his
ethnicity. The orange-haired man praised the Congressman who pleaded guilty for
attacking a reporter in 2016 and won the election
anyway.
At least 3 of the GOP Congressman from NJ voted to raid the Social Security trust fund of billions of dollars (Smith, MacArthur, and Lance). After all, Social Security is a government handout, not an earned benefit. We don't need a social safety net. Get a job and support yourself! So what if you are on Medicaid in a nursing home and bed-ridden. Stop faking it!
Mitch McConnell has already said that if the GOP keeps the Congress, they will repeal the Affordable Care Act and its protection for pre-existing conditions. After all, they voted 60 timed during the Obama Administration to do that wasting time and money. Now with the orange-haired man in the White House, if they repeal it, he will sign. We no longer have John McCain to protect us.

Keep electing the GOP Congress, if you no longer want your
Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid when you are too long in a nursing home.
The GOP has hated these programs for decades and willingly will remove them
from the social safety net. Remember, Congress doesn't pay into Social Security
and will never need Medicare or Medicaid. They have their own pension and
health care and don't have to work for years to get either one. Believe that
they care about the "little guy" and I'll sell you a bridge!

Watching Rachel Maddow last night made me think I was back in
1950. A "white" county in Texas is doing all it can to prevent
students from an all Black college from voting using their college address
although the SCOTUS ruled in favor of the students years ago. Also the GOP
candidate for governor of Georgia is still the state Secretary of State in
charge of voter registration. Needless to say he is sitting on thousands of
registration forms from minority citizens to prevent them from voting for his
opponent. Finally McArthur's ads for
Congress accuse his opponent of going to raise taxes. He cut taxes for the 1%,
raised the debt and tried to get rid of covering pre-existing conditions.
Keep voting for voting for GOP candidates, people!

When the orange-haired
man "won" the election, I went into mourning. It took at least 3
months to get through the phases of grief. Now I am so disgusted with Congress
and the GOP conservatives that I am speechless. Lying to Congress is no longer
an impediment to becoming a Justice of SCOTUS. What will happen when the White
House documents are made public by subpoena and prove that the FBI
"investigation" was grossly limited from the start, and that Kavaughn
lied during his previous confirmations and during this one, too. Oh, well,
under the rule of the orange-haired man and his cronies, lies are of little
matter. So too is abusing women. Welcome to the new reality.

Can anyone explain why someone who made $100 million running
a drug company that made anti-cancer drugs and charged 100x + over cost for the
drug and then paid a quarter of a billion dollars in fines for that drug is
qualified to be a US Senator?
This is absolutely the most important election of our generation and the Republicans must ;lose control of at least one House of Congress so that Congress can perform its oversight responsibility over the Executive branch. That means that Bob Menendez must be re-elected and Chris Smith must be defeated.
