For the third year I was able to volunteer at the annual Sundance Festival and stay with good friends in Park City. The photo is the group of us who work and attend the festival, seeing as many films as possible in the one week visit. The women saw 12-14 films in 5 days. I saw 5. Terry unfortunately was ill and did not see as many during the first week. He does live there so he did see a few during the first week. We do have a great time there.
There were several films worth seeing. The documentary "Chasing Ice" was so beautifully filmed that the images are worthy of a must have cocktail table book. The information in the film should change the mind of anyone doubting climate change. The films "The Surrogate" with Helen Hunt and Wm H Macy, "The Robot and Frank" with Frank Langella and Susan Sarandon, and "Price Check with Parker Posey were all worth seeing. The last was very, very funny. The robot was charming and the Surrogate was beautifully done.
The painting is of the RC Church in Park City. Its on the highway across from the Synagogue and just reminded me of an alpine church nestled in the hills. I painted this from a photo taken at 50 mph as we spend along heading for Salt Lake City.
