My daughter visited her cousins in Bear Valley California which is southeast of Sacramento near the Donner Pass.  The last day she cross-country skiied and took some photos for me.  This is the result of one of those photos. 
This area receiveds feet of snow during the winter. People are known to ski onto the second story balcony of their home!  Who knows what these boulders look like in the summer without snow.  I'll just assume they are small rocks.
The collection of photos she took will produce at least one more paintings.  I'm working on it now.
