I've been busy lately, painting. I did the orange rose but I tried to duplicate the beige color and the painting died. It is published below. Discussing it with my friend, Donna, I decided to try a wash of cadmium orange and that helped a lot.
The landscape I found in my files and thought it would be a great little painting and so it was!
These roses were in a book I purchased and I couldn't resist painting them. They supposedly appeared after prayers to save a town from destruction in the 16thC.
Since I got started painting again I've done several florals, all in preparation to a 3 month project that I wanted to do. I'll post them separately.
