Election 2016

I sometimes think this election cycle will give me a stroke.  The possibility of the Donald becoming the next President gives me great upset.  He is an egotistical, opinionated narcissictic idiot.  He would be a disaster as President and quite likely cause a war or some other national disaster.  He thinks that his "business acumen" is so good that he can handle V. Putin and all of our allies by bullying them to do his bidding.  Putin will eat him for lunch. Actually the Russians are getting into American computers and are trying to affect the election results in Trump's favor. Putin does not want to have to deal with HRC for the next 4 years.

Trump has convinced a large segment of the American populace of "magical thinking."  Because he says something he can get it done without difficulty and immediately.  Using this technique he is appealing to the lowest segments of Americans, bigoted, not well educated and non thinking people who get their news from Sean Hannity and Fox News.  Therefore they believe he can bully other busness owners to move their manufacturing back to America (although he hasn't), that he will deport 12 million people on the first day of his administration, that he will stop crime in the inner cities quickly, that he will build a wall costing $25 billion and get Mexico to pay for it, and that his tax cuts aka trickle down economics, will work when it did not under Reagon nor did it work in Kansas under Sam Brownback.  Of course, none of this is possible.  Nor will even a Republican Congress support some of his more extreme ideas.  Yet they stupidly believe all that he says, ignore the bigoted comments against Blacks, women, Hispanics, and the disabled by claiming that he will suddenly become "Presidential" on January 20th, 2017

Michelle Bachman claimed that this could be the "last election."  I never thought I would ever agree with her but this time I do.  However, its for the opposite reason.  She claims that HRC will admit so many immigrants that the population of Florida and Texas will change from Red to Blue and that the GOP will be destroyed.  I fear that if DJT becomes president, he will be such a disaster that even a Republican Congress may have to vote for impeachment.  However, based on the willy-nilly comments by leading GOP Congressmen, they don't agree with the Donald but will still vote for him because he is a "Republican".  Their concern for the country is outweighed by their loyalty to the party.  That is frightening.  There are no 'profiles in courage" in this group, just the sheep mentality of the party first and the country be damned!
