People might wonder why I follow the TV show ARROW and its
star, Stephen Amell on Facebook. The
show is not something one might expect me to like. However, the show is well written with higher
production values than most shows on TV.
The action is super and Amell does most of the stunts himself. He is also a good actor, able to do comedic
bits as well as the action and dramatic scenes.
The show is worth watching.
There is a second reason.
Amell’s facebook page is run by the star himself. He interacts with his fans almost daily and
he uses his status to raise money for charities. He raised over $100Gs for a little girl with
some rare disease and has now adopted the cause of a boy with leukemia whose
medical bills are bankrupting the family.
Of course he did the ALS challenge, too. He has another cause. Since his Mom had cancer he supports “Fuck
Cancer”. Is there any wonder his page
has 3 million followers as opposed to the few that follow other celeb’s pages
where there is no interaction at all?
